Objects of Desire Gallery was born out of passion for exceptional design.
Established in 1990, the gallery has emerged as one of the premier spaces
in the United States for showcasing contemporary art to wear.
Nationally and internationally recognized metalsmiths and wearable fiber
artists are surveyed on a regular basis through permanent displays of
their works and through carefully edited group or solo exhibitions.
The emphasis is placed on featuring works that challenge the conventional
notions associated with wearability and ownership.
A smartly designed space provides a dramatic backdrop for showcasing
the works of artists who have achieved recognition in their field
or who are newly emerging. Their unconventional and innovative approach
to the art of jewelry and fiber and their significant contributions to their respective
fields guide our continuing efforts to provide a premier venue for this important work.
The gallery is located in the picturesque Highlands area of Louisville, Kentucky
at the intersection of Eastern Parkway and Bardstown Road.
